It's just too bad the engine feels like it belongs in an economy hatchback, rather than BMW's (now) only convertible sports car. But if straight-line speed is less of a concern to you, and you've got $130k burning a hole in your pocket, you'll certainly find the new 420i to be a lovely to drive car that can do it all, while gaining a few enchanted looks from passers by.
