Jede siebte Frau musste in ihrem Leben schon einmal eine Vergewaltigung, eine versuchte Vergewaltigung oder sexuelle Nötigung erleben. – Aber in Deutschland gibt es kein Problem mit Gewalt gegen Frauen? Frauen verdienen ca. 22 % weniger als ihre männlichen Kollegen. Typische Frauenberufe sind das Dienstleistungsgewerbe, vor allem der Verwaltungs- und Servicebereich, sowie die Kinder-, Alten- und Krankenpflege – und damit die mit niedriger Bezahlung und schlechten Arbeitsbedingungen. – Aber es gibt in Deutschland keine Benachteiligung? Mehr als drei Viertel der in einer Partnerschaft lebenden Mütter mit Kindern unter 16 Jahren erledigen „alles“ oder „das meiste“ der Kinderbetreuung und der Hausarbeit. Während 96% der Mütter Elterngeld beziehen sind es nur 29,3% der Väter, wobei davon nur 6% die Leistung ein Jahr oder länger bezogen. Aber Frauen in Deutschland sind emanzipiert? Wir haben ein Problem! Dieses wir sind allerdings nicht nur die jungen Frauen in Deutschland, sondern alle in Zukunft erwerbstätigen Menschen. Wenn Frauen gezwungen sind für niedrigere Löhne arbeiten zu gehen, nützt das den Eigentümern der Unternehmen, da sie die Frauen als Lohndrückerinnen einsetzen können. Wenn Kinderbetreuung Privatsache ist, dann nützt das Staat und Unternehmen, die sonst für die Kinderbetreuung zahlen müssten und wenn sexistische Rollenbilder dafür da sind, dass das alles so bleibt, dann nützt das dem Selbsterhalt des Kapitalismus. Das ändern können wir nur gemeinsam!

There is a lot of information here, so take a deep breath.  There is a Jewish teaching that says that you are not responsible for completing the work, nor are you allowed to desist from it.  We will succeed because millions of people do a couple things well, not because one person does a million things.  While we wish we were not compelled to travel down this path of resistance.  We are excited to realize the collective beauty we can and will create together.
