Use your phone as a remote for your TV. Navigate menus, type with your phone keyboard, change the volume and show your own photos, videos and music on the big screen, all over your home network. Remote for Smart TV is an independent app made by JaviTech. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by any TV maker, streaming-device maker, streaming service or TV software company. Before you install: check compatibility • The app works only with TVs and streaming players that accept control from phone apps over the home network, and only when that option is turned on in the TV's own settings. • Many TVs cannot be controlled this way and will not connect. If the app does not find your TV after you turn that option on, your TV is not supported. • Your phone and your TV must be on the same home Wi-Fi network. • Please make sure the app connects to your TV before you buy the upgrade that removes ads. What you can do • Remote control: arrow keys, OK, Back and Home, playback controls, volume up and down, mute, channel up and down, power and input switching, on TVs that support these commands. • Type with your phone: use your phone's own keyboard to enter search terms and text on the TV instead of picking letters one by one on screen. • Touchpad: swipe and tap to move around the TV's menus. • Show your media on the TV: send photos, videos and music stored on your phone to the TV screen. • Listen through headphones: hear the TV's sound through headphones connected to your phone, on TVs that support it. • Open your TV's apps: see the apps already installed on your TV and open one with a tap. Their names and icons are read from your TV and belong to their owners. • Remote styles: Light, Dark and Large Keys layouts, made for easy one-handed use. • Automatic discovery: the app looks for supported TVs on your network and reconnects to the last one you used. You can also enter your TV's network address by hand. • Feedback: optional vibration and click sounds when you press a key. Good to know • The app contains ads. An optional in-app purchase removes them. • Remote commands go from your phone to your TV over your home network.
