CoSviG is a consortium company, whose capital is entirely public. The company was founded in 1988, by municipalities of the “Tuscan traditional geothermal area”, with the aim of promoting the local socio economic development and to cooperate with Local Authorities, coordinating their technical and financial fulfilments linked to the use of royalties resulting from geothermal exploitation for power generation. Shareholders of the company are today 21, among which 14 municipalities, 4 Union of municipalities in traditional and Amiata geothermal areas, provinces of Grosseto and Siena and the Tuscany Region.
