Design your next woodturning before you make the first cut. Creative Woodturner lets you explore ideas, refine proportions and visualise finished pieces before committing them to timber. Sketch your profile and instantly see your design transformed into a realistic 3D model. Whether you’re planning a bowl, vase, goblet, urn, spindle or something completely original, Creative Woodturner gives you an easy way to experiment with shapes and materials wherever inspiration strikes. DESIGN YOUR TURNING Draw the profile of your piece and Creative Woodturner automatically mirrors it around the centre axis to create your turning. Add lines, curves, beads, coves and other details to build up your design. SEE IT IN 3D Watch your design come to life in the realistic 3D viewer. Make changes to the profile or wood and immediately see the result, helping you get the proportions right before heading to the lathe. EXPLORE DIFFERENT WOODS Try your design with more than 140 wood images, including figured woods, burrs, end grain, segmented patterns and more. It’s a great way to explore how a piece could look before using valuable timber. DESIGN WITH DIMENSIONS Add horizontal, vertical and diameter measurements to your designs, with support for both metric and imperial units. PLAN SEGMENTED TURNINGS Use the wrap feature to experiment with segmented turning designs and see how patterns will appear around the finished piece. PRINT YOUR DESIGNS Once you’re happy with your idea, print your design and dimensions to take into the workshop. VIEW YOUR TURNING IN AUGMENTED REALITY Use AR to place your finished design into the real world and get a better sense of its scale, shape and appearance. Creative Woodturner is designed for woodturners who want to explore more ideas, experiment without wasting material and arrive at the lathe with a clearer picture of what they want to make. Design it. Refine it. Then turn it.
