Spider sex is most reliably determined by examining a molt for the presence of female reproductive organs (spermatheca). The absence of these organs usually indicates a male, though some males have similar-looking features that can cause confusion. In most cases, a spider’s sex cannot be confirmed until it reaches about 2–3 inches diagonal leg span (DLS) or larger. Sexed spiders are either sexed in-house or by one of our trusted suppliers. Guarantee All sexed spiders are guaranteed to be correctly identified.If a mistake is ever verified, you are entitled to a full refund. We only list spiders as sexed when we are confident in the identification. While some customers may have doubts after receiving their spider, many online sources share incorrect information about sexing methods.
