Our pucks are made in the USA.   They have beveled sides they glide over the powder wax.  Cheaper made pucks which have straight sides and edges and because of that tend to plow through the powder wax.  Our pucks have a unique cap design for better control over the throw.   Cheaper brand  pucks usually don't have thumb or finger indents on the top. Our pucks have screw on caps -- if a cap breaks you can just screw on another cap.  Cheaper quality pucks have snap on caps - if the cap breaks you need to replace the entire puck!
