Mission Statement We Care Broadcasting Network (WCBN) exists for the sole purpose of reaching everyone everywhere with the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. WCBN has a heart to bring together denominations and cultures, breaking divisions, and bias, and providing a platform from which to spread the Word of God. WCBN is dedicated to producing and providing quality television that will reach all people in every corner of the globe. Why the name “We Care Broadcasting Network”? God speaks to Dr. Charles Kent in acronyms, and the first acronym he ever received was C.A.R.E. – Concerned About Reaching Everyone. If you look in Acts chapter 6, we see Philip, chosen by the multitude as one of seven men who were considered wise and unprejudiced, and could meet the practical needs of all the believers regardless of their language or background. Two chapters later in Acts chapter 8, we see him going down to the city of Samaria, (Philip being a Jew, and the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans) and proclaiming to them the Christ. The next thing we see in chapter 8, is Philip chasing down a chariot with an Ethiopian eunuch, at the instruction of an angel of the Lord, that he might expound the scriptures to him. Philip was then seen in Azotus, Caesarea, and in Macedonia, the foremost district of a Roman Colony. He then moved on to Toras, Galilee, and on to Bethsaida, and Nazareth. He travelled to all people in all lands, spreading the Word of the Lord. The “Spirit of Philip” is one that crosses all cultural, relational, and social boundaries, to bring Christ to the world, and this is the foundation of WCBN. Mark 16:15 (MSG) “Then He said, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.” Luke 14:23 (KJV) “And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Matthew 28:19-20 (AMP) “ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” The message is clear, that God has given us a mandate to “GO” into ALL THE WORLD and to reach all people everywhere preaching His Word. WCBN enables us to reach all people everywhere across the entire globe.
