Over the years, I've tried many different routine cards and different organisational charts, but I never found something that really fit with our family and worked long term. I always felt the charts created more work for me (to monitor and remember to use it etc.). If you have a child with working memory and executive function struggles, establishing a routine is really helpful, so I initially created table in Word with a sequence of tasks to follow each morning for my children. There was no need to tick things off or reward, it was simply a tool to learn a sequence of tasks to take the pressure off remembering things for the child. Most of us do this anyway -- we have a routine we follow, however for some kids, it's a real struggle to hold that sort of information.  After a few years of doing this, I asked Liss Amaya to design me some cards so my children could mix it around to find a sequence that worked well for them and changed with their needs. These cards have been extremely popular with parents around the world. They come as a printable, which can then be used in what way works best for your family. I put magnets on the back and put them on the side of the fridge, but blu tack can work, or you can find other ideas from clever parents here. I use magnetic tape to put the cards on the fridge. Once purchased, you will receive an email with a link to download your printable for immediate use.
