Analyse de l'application Speakaboo Mobile pour le 11 octobre

Speakaboo is an articulation screener designed to help SLP's assess speech development of a multilingual child in its native language. Using small interactive games, Speakaboo helps therapists elicit target words which are automatically recorded. The therapist can access these recordings after the test to review them, score the results, and compare them to the pronunciation of a native speaker. In the face of a language barrier, showing the child's parents a comparison of the two recordings makes it easier to explain a diagnosis. The SLT can also use the app to play the recorded audio of their child back. This often results in a better understanding of the diagnosis by parents. The test takes only 10 minutes. The short duration makes Speakaboo ideal for working with young children who become restless during long evaluations. Speakaboo's entertaining pop-ups additionally help children open up. “Children love to open the doors in Speakaboo. It’s great to see how even the shyest quickly start to name the pictures.” - Eefje van der Linden-Graafland, Speech-/language therapist at ADC The Hague "Finally an attractive tool to assess my young multilingual clients’ speech development." - Nienke Lam, Clinical Linguist, Audiological Centrum Amsterdam “Speakaboo really helps parents understand their child's speech problem.” - Marga van Mil, OnderwijsAdvies, Leiden Currently, Speakaboo supports the following languages: - Dutch - Egyptian Arabic - Moroccan Arabic - Polish - Tarifit-Berber - Turkish - Somali - Papiamento - English (US) - German - Italian - Bosnian - Tigrinya - Hindi - Russian - French - Syrian - West Armenian - East Armenian
