Your English works. You read, write, and do your job in it. But when you have to answer out loud, with no time to think, what comes out is short, correct sentences — and you sound simpler than you are. It's not that you don't know enough. You recognize thousands of words and speak with a few hundred. Wispy works on that gap — and counts what actually made it into your speech. HOW IT WORKS 1. We find the words you recognize but never say. From lessons, shows, your dictionary, your own conversations — the ones you'd understand instantly and never produce. 2. We bring them within reach. Cards, repetition, intervals — the boring part that has to happen. But it never moves your number: recognizing a word on a card is a skill you already have. 3. They go into a queue. Not a progress bar — a list: "8 words waiting to be used." No dates, nothing overdue. 4. You use them in a conversation. The partner is an AI; the topics are from your life: give a colleague feedback, explain symptoms to a doctor, push back on a deadline. Mess up as much as you want — nobody's listening. 5. When a real conversation is coming up, open Rehearsal and name it in your own words: "flat viewing on Thursday", "standup, and my task is stuck". Wispy finds who to rehearse with: a team lead, a landlord, a doctor, an interviewer. In many situations they message you first — with a face, a name and a voice — and you can answer right away, by voice or text. Then short prep from the lessons and the conversation itself. Afterwards you see how many of the situation's words you said yourself; the rest go back to the queue and come up in your next conversation. 6. Only what you say yourself moves your number — in your own sentence, in a live conversation. Picking from options, recognizing a word on a card, or just mentioning it doesn't. Everything you've said yourself is in your profile, with your own sentences. After the conversation, a breakdown with no grades. What you used, what you reached for and got slightly wrong, and what you went around. The middle one is the useful one: it goes into the next cycle. For an awkward line, how a native speaker would say it. And if you said "I like" the whole conversation, the breakdown will notice and offer prefer, be into. WHERE THE WORDS COME FROM From wherever your attention already goes. From the lessons matched to your situation in Rehearsal: a flat, a doctor, a bank, a standup, a job interview, an investor. From the day's news. From topics on shows, sports and games: House of the Dragon, Severance, Formula 1, UFC, GTA VI, and TikTok slang. Oxford 5000 and your own dictionary. Wherever a word comes from, it lands in the same counter. WHO IT'S FOR People who already have English. Who work on international teams or live abroad, read without a dictionary — and go quiet when they have to answer right away. Not for beginners. Free to start. Then one subscription, monthly or yearly. --- Terms: https://www.wispylang.app/terms https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Questions and feedback: info@wispylang.app
