Why Android asks for VPN permission Firewall AI uses Android's VpnService to direct network traffic through a local interface for filtering on your device. Firewall AI therefore cannot run alongside another active VPN in the same profile. Local control, clear privacy The app has no ads. Your rules and connection logs are stored on your device. DNS requests and functions such as updates, licensing or optional online lookups may use external services; the privacy policy explains the details. Encrypted chat and HTTPS content is not decrypted.
